Nowadays, Steve Kerr and Greg Popovich are just as likely to have a press conference on what it means to be a good person as a good perimeter defender. In baseball, it’s the Cubs’ Joe Maddon. In football, it’s…well, football might not be a good example, since a spiritually-inclined coach would probably tell players to try a different sport.
