Here at the Trail Runner office we have a sort of game: whenever we get our hands on something that is marketed as “athleisure ” or “all-day apparel,” we try to stretch the bounds of what that can feasibly mean.
Oregon based company, Territory Run Co.’s All-Day Tee was put through the gauntlet. First, it endured a two-hour run at noon on a summer day here in Colorado. Even though it was much too hot to run in a shirt, I persisted, for the sake of said gauntlet. The shirt breathed fairly well throughout the run, though when running uphill it became noticeable due to the heat.
As a mostly synthetic shirt, the All-Day Tee is an ideal choice for long runs in the mountains or wherever there’s any possibility of rain. It has a raglan style shoulder stitching that moves the stitches off of the ridge and closer to the chest, which is comfortable, stylish and, should you be wearing a vest, prevents rubbing. It also has UV protection. The company touts this as the softest performance tee on the market and promotes sustainability—it is derived 100 percent from recycled material, including coffee grounds. It is extremely soft and something I can wear before, during or after runs.
The real test was the post-run work day and trivia night at the local brewery. The odor control worked well, and there were no residual salt marks or sweat stains. The All-Day Tee passed the “First Look” gauntlet.
