Run Alaska Trails Announces 2019 Trip Dates

The following press release is from ATRA member Run Alaska Trails.

CORDOVA, Alaska — Run Alaska Trails, a trail running guide and travel service based in South Central Alaska, is pleased to announce next year’s trip dates. All-inclusive running packages are scheduled for June 30th, July 14th, July 21st and July 28th of 2019.

Run Alaska Trails is a trail running guide service founded by Kim Ryals, former Executive Director of the Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation. Having spent a number of years (and miles) on trails throughout the 49th state, Kim started the service to share the terrain she loves with people from all over the world. There are four dates currently set, centered around the height of summer in July.

“We’re really excited about bringing runners to the Last Frontier”, said Ryals; “Alaska is one of the last, best, wilderness areas in the world. Play time here is unlike anywhere in the Lower 48. Our runs vary from a 3-mile up and down Mount Marathon – billed by Outside Magazine as the ‘toughest 5K on the planet’ – to 25-plus miles in Denali State Park, across the way from its namesake.”

“Guests will find the trip bucket list-worthy”, added Ryals; “The trails often follow those of wildlife movement, high along mountain ridges and down low, beside river beds. Each day a different route is selected based on changing conditions to ensure the utmost fun and group safety. Flexibility is key to having a good time – and carrying on to tell about it – in Alaska.”

Regular price for 2019 is set at $2895 per person, single occupancy. A second person occupying the same room is $2495. From now through the end of the year, Ryals is offering American Trail Running Association (ATRA) members an additional $300 off per room. Rates include five nights lodging, four days guided trail running, private ground transportation, and meals. Each trip is limited to seven guests. Reservations can be made by visiting www.runalaskatrails.com or calling 907-707-6698.
