I’m on a plane flying to Sarasota, Florida for a family wedding reception. I haven’t seen my aunts and cousins in years, and I’m really happy to be going, even though it made me really notice all the gray hair Ruby’s given me recently. “Well, Liza certainly looks distinguished.”

My mom called to let me know that I wouldn’t need to dress up too much for the reception. No problem! And that I should wear comfortable shoes. Really no problem! My sister is actually bringing me a pair of pretty sandals because, while I have comfortable shoes, they are not wedding reception material, and I couldn’t bring myself to go fancy shoe shopping before I left San Antonio.

Oh my gosh, we need to take off and get the coffee serving going!

Running: I’m scheduled for 60-90 minutes. It’s going to end up being after the wedding reception on a hotel treadmill. Send me some willpower!
