Bose’s Soundsport Free allows dad to blast real music (not that crap on the radio nowadays) on the trail without getting tangled up in wires. It’s washable and doesn’t shrink, so baby puke comes right off! Best of all, the soft merino wool fabric doesn’t smell after use.
Lululemon Surge Shorts

Lululemon takes on men’s running? It might seem strange, but these shorts are a serious hit amongst the editors here at the Trail Runner office. Super airy and light, the 4″ update to the Surge puts these at the top of the pile for summer running. The liner is a unique boxer-brief style with a light amount of compression that features a surprisingly secure phone pocket along the side of the quad. There is also a rear nutrition pocket and two elastic loops along the waistband meant for hanging your shirt.

Our father reviewers all said they simply couldn’t have enough shorts. When the trails are your other family, clean, comfortable shorts are in high demand. The Fang shorts are a good choice for dad’s long weekend trail run.
