Fashion Your Passion – Pete Stoughton

Pete Stoughton is the Brand Relations manager at TAUR. Basically, he is the behind the scenes guy here at TAUR. When he’s not getting his TAUR on, or running 2-3,000 miles a year, he is a Program Director at The Christian Center of Park City. A former teacher of special education for 15 years, Pete works with the local folks in Park City to provide tangible needs like food and clothing as well as more substantial assistance. Pete also has a beautiful family and an amazingly patient wife.

Running is an essential part of Pete’s life. As you can see in some of these photos, Pete sports his Wasatch 100 buckle every day. This is a great conversation starter, but a visible iconography of his passion for running. You can often see him wearing his favorite running GPS watch, or sporting his No-Show Feetures socks, even at important meetings. Don’t be surprised if Pete can’t sit still or has already run 10 miles before work.

Honestly, nothing screams ‘I am an outdoorsy guy’ louder then a sweet shirt and a Patagonia label. Patagonia products emulate the values of many trail runners who are environmentally aware of the impacts our consumer habits have. Patagonia products embody these values and the peers recognize the brand for these qualities.

The Merino shirt is constructed of some of the best merino out there. The shirt wears very well and after 10 washes it seemed to improve. The shirt is smooth and very comfortable to wear. Whether loading trucks or sitting at the desk this shirt manages the circumstances exceptionally well.

Smartwool NTS Mid 250 Hoody Sport

Smartwool NTS Mid 250 Hoody Sport

Price $150.00

The Smartwool NTS Mid 250 Hoody balances nicely the demands of function and desires of fashion. Not only is it an amazing merino product by Smartwool, but the upper panels are DWR coated. The hoody is a slim and modern yet outdoorsy option for around town and to work.

Before purchasing, we advise putting this bad boy on. Although it has a more athletic fit, you don’t need to be a slim ultra runner to enjoy it. The length of the hoody is longer then traditional tops. The hoody is a nice option for diverse weather and situations.

Avex is really making it hard to make wise choices before and after runs. With the new Sundowner Rocks Glass, we really felt obligated to enjoy spirited beverages. Nothing says fill my glass then a gnarly stainless steel glass. On a few occasions, friends actually offered spirits rather then water or tea because I had the Sundowner. Yeah baby!!

Only a few downsides of this glass include that you are not supposed to was it in the dishwasher and that it doesn’t have a clip for carrying.

Caseco Bluetooth Beanie

If you are looking for a stylish bluetooth beanie for cold weather, look no further. The Caseco Blu-Toque Dual-layered Bluetooth Beanie is it.  It is a cold weather beanie with bluetooth speakers, mic and status
alerts built in. The bluetooth is very easy to turn on. Audible alerts such as “Power On” are nice features. We found it extremely easy to pair with iPhone and the microphone worked very well. Music quality
was surprising good and the music controls were super easy to use from the
side of the hat. With all of these features you would expect it to not be comfortable, however that was not the case. We really liked it. It also has removable pods so the cap can be washed. No wires!

Call us old folks, but the styles just didn’t work for us. All in all the hat was somewhat heavy in hand, but felt good on the head. Certainly not a running hat, much too heavy for running.
